Julia GitHub stars have nearly doubled since the release of Julia 1.0 and Julia is one of the top 10 languages on GitHub measured by stars and forks.

Julia Computing has awarded more than $18 thousand in diversity and inclusion grants to 5 recipients, generously funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

The Financial Times reports “US government number-crunchers have been trying to measure the value of “free” open-source software, such as R, Python, Julia and JavaScript, concluding that if captured in statistics these would be worth about $3bn a year.”
