JuliaEO - Earth Observation Using Julia January 6-10 (Terceira, Azores): The JuliaEO Global Workshop 2025 featured surrogates of climate models developed in conjunction with the Julia community, along with connections of data science and mapping groups for satellite data. “The JuliaEO Global Workshop 2025, co-organized by the AIR Centre and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), took place from January 6-10 in a hybrid format, hosted both in Terceira Island (Azores) and online. The workshop was designed to enhance the computer programming skills of professionals working in Earth Observation. The topics covered included acquisition, processing, visualization, and classification of Earth Observation data using the Julia programming language. The training workshop emphasized practical activities including the use of datasets, libraries/packages, automated workflows, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and classification algorithms. Theory-oriented sessions introduced the concepts and hands-on activities.” Click here to access the full program.
