Julia Computing'sJane Herriman has been appointed to the Board of Directors of NumFOCUS. Jane is Julia Computing's Director of Diversity and Outreach, PhD candidate in Materials Science at Caltech and will soon rejoin Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a Lawrence Graduate Scholar. NumFOCUS is a non-profit organization that promotes sustainable software, open code development and reproducible scientific research. NumFOCUS supports Jupyter, which was named for Julia, Python and R.
